Knowledge is Power

Our café operates during class time, so the menu and service are dependent on the course offerings.

This term the café kitchen will be run by the Specialized Cuisine HOSP 211 class, led by Chef Graper.

The menu will focus on international cuisine, a different region each week.  As always, all items will be house made, including breads, dressings, desserts, and most condiments.

The actual week's menu will be uploaded HERE the week before as well as available at the cafe. *menus subject to change but concept will remain the same - we are a learning environment while also focusing on quality control.

The front of house service staff are students of Customer Service, taught this semester by Julia Haza.  Julia has years of FOH Management experience, most recently at The Elm, Bloomington.

We love The Elm.

All baked goods, bread, and dessert items are provided through a collaboration between pastry classes and a dedicated group of pastry student volunteers who meet weekly, sometimes twice a week.

Our café is open to the public and we heartily invite you to share in this revered educational experience.

We are open 11am - 12:30pm, for dine-in service on the three Thursdays listed above.  Our café seats 40, with the option for outdoor seating under our umbrellas.

Reservations are highly recommended, as we usually "sell out" quickly and walk-ins are rarely granted a table, only if a reservation failed to show.

The last seating is at 12:00pm, the dining room closes sharply at 12:45 to give our students time to clean and debrief before class ends at 2pm.  We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

As always, thank you so much for your support.
